Pumpkin Patch

Thank you Alice for inviting us to the Pumpkin Patch yesterday! We had a great time - although we were all very cold!! I'll definitely remember to take jackets next year (I know, Bad Momma!).

When we first got to the patch we killed time waiting on the rest of our party with a little petting zoo fun. Ains LOVES animals! Here's her and Daddy feeding the goats.
Next we went and picked out a pumpkin in the patch...

After we found THE pumpkin, Daddy and Ains snuggled to keep warm. The wind was chilly!

One last Photo Op of Ains and her pal, Abby, before we headed home. Next year we'll have to hit the hay rides too!

Thanks again Alice, Abby and Howie. Same time next year??

A Long Time Coming...

It's been a while since I've blogged, much less blogged about my little peanut. So without further wait here are a few shots from the past couple of months.
Here is Ainsley and her best bud Morgan.

She LOVES the beach!

No Fear.

This is the famous Sunset Beach Draw Bridge. I'm going to miss this when it's gone!

Making Grandmom laugh - she's such a clown!

Chasing ducks with Daddy at the park...

Today - Enjoying the weather. We love Fall!

WE HAVE HAIR!

I promise not to wait so long next time. She's too cute not to share with the world!

Big Man G

I had the best time yesterday playing in the park with a very active *almost* 2 year old! I got my work-out in for the day chasing him around the jungle gyms but it was worth it for some of the shots that we got.

We started on this set and he loved the tunnel.

I had heard that he wasn't a big fan of slides - but like most kids, he had to prove his parents wrong! I'd say that he likes slides now.

Next Mom blew some bubbles to play in. Those were fun - but not so tasty.

I'm not quite sure how this guy still has cheeks after two full years! I would have certainly pinched them off by now. Aren't they just to die for??

G's grandparents came along for the day before heading back to Florida (hope you guys had a safe trip and that Ike stays far, far away!). This little guy loves his Grandpa (and Grandma!)

And I saved the best for last. SUCH A CUTIE! Happy Birthday G - I hope we get to play again soon!!

Kyle

Kyle and his Mommy came for a visit today! We played in the backyard for a while and got some really great shots!
Meet Kyle...

We planned to go to the park but it was just too hot!! Here we were on our way, but quickly turned around.

And of course I have to throw in a shot of Ains... This was a belated birthday gift - Rody.

Beach Photos

We will be on vacation August 8-16 at the southern most beach on the NC coast - Sunset! If you will be nearby during this time and want some beach shots, be sure to contact me as soon as possible to get into our schedule.

Meet Anna and Morgan

Ains goes to a sitter's house while I'm at work and she absolutely adores the little girls that live there. One day Anna decided to ride home with me and play in the park until her mom finished running some errands and picked her up. Morgan got to play for a little while once Mom got there. We had a good time - and of course I took my camera.

Here is Anna - she just turned 6.

And this is Morgan - she just turned 3. If you could have a best friend at 1, she would be Ainsley's BFF! Morgan wasn't into the camera as much as her big sister was but I got a great action shot of her coming down the slide.

Brennan

Look who we ran into on a trip to the neighborhood park last week! It's Brennan!!

Surprisingly he was born the same day as Ains - only 5 hours later. I tempted him over to me with promises of wagon rides at our next playdate.

Ains and Daddy had a great time on the swings.

Happy Birthday Abby (today!) and Marin (tomorrow!)

Ains was a popular girl today and had two first birthday parties to attend. We split our time between them and got some good shots of the little Ladybugs (incidentally both parties were ladybug themed).
First we visited with Marin. She's exactly one week younger than Ainsley.

Isn't this the cutest little butt ever?? Gotta love the continuation of the theme... Good job Lucy!

After about an hour with Marin and wearing out Lucy and Scott's carpet, I took Ains to visit with her pal, and neighbor, Abby. We missed Abby diving into her cake (unlike Ains, I hear she didn't hesitate) but we got there just in time for presents!! Our favorite part of any birthday! Abby was too into her Leapfrog ride-on to look up.

Don't you want to pinch these cheeks? Happy Birthday pretty girl!

Thank you Alice and Lucy for two great parties and a fun afternoon. And congrats to you both on such beautiful daughters. Best wishes on the second year - we're in for a great ride!!

The Next Chapter

With the inception of this blog, I am hoping to start a new chapter in my life. I was introduced to photography, beyond a point and shoot, while pregnant a little over a year ago. Since that time I have invested in some equipment and set out to learn how to use it. Over the past 6 months I've filled up my hard drive and fell in love with photography as an art form. I especially love pictures that capture a child's personality. So with that, I now hope to start my own photography business on the side providing a great service for a fair price with a lot of options. Please contact me at jaimiemcconnell@gmail.com to inquire about pricing, scheduling, etc.

I look forward to working with you all in the near future!
